Updates
Dress fitting time is coming up fast. The seamstress is going to have her way with me on September 12th.
I'm going to get my wedding band at jarrods tommorro. We are engraving the insides of our bands. Mine will say ,"allons-y" and Chris's will say , "Geronimo" .
We went over our guest list again and I'm going to make an appointment I talk with doolan's and set up our dinner . Also we need to show our DJ where he can set up.
I've been haunting the dollar store for center pieces, but I have only found one good size and I need two others. I like 12 dollars and no shipping a lot.
I can set them up with three floating candles and some blue marbles and some purple flowers. The fake flowers I used for example did not float and the green part went up instead of down.
I've also found little frames to put doctor who quotes at each tableTuesday, August 20, 2013
Tardis
I may have a T.A.R.D.I.S. for my wedding!!!!!
Pure happenstance brought a tardis close to me... Two blocks from our Aberdeen practice space a very lucky young lady was given a tardis as a present from a young man asking her to prom.
She is 15 and a huge fan of Dr who so she made her friend watch the episodes as well and he became a fan as well. He then made a tardis with the proper wood and dimensions, had his father help brig it to her house, set it on her don't lawn and texted her to come outside where he then popped out from the tardis with a sign that read, "will you go to prom with me?"
How sweet is he?
So I see this tardis and stop and stare at it until one of our refs drives by thinking I had car trouble. After I tried to explain what a tardis is he helped knock on their door so I could talk to them.
The mom and daughter are super nice and said if I had a truck then I borrow it for my wedding!!!! It just doesn't have the top.
She said if I don't have anyone already making one that I can borrow hers but I'm my sure when or if hey are building the top to it.
I do want my own tardis though... It would be super cool.

I really want a band...well, not just any band
My fiance and I just attended the Steampunk Worlds Fair
for our third year and I'm already dying to go back again with a bigger
and better costume.(If you don't know about click the link, google it,
bing it, call out yahoo or ask jeeves even.... it's awesome and you need
to experience it stat).
The schedule of events even listed a private wedding which got me thinking of wouldn't-it-be-neat-ifs galore. Not that I would like a wedding at the fair....no, I've got an awesome venue at Doolan's that I can't wait to decorate...decorate with what..I'm not sure. I'm thinking maybe some old clocks (and I don't mean junkie, I mean pretty old stuff....nicely restored clocks or replicas) and some alternating in height candles, maybe some flower petals. I'm not one for flowers ( they make my allergies unhappy), so I'm trying to avoid that situation.
Ok, so while we were standing there happily watching ENSMB (Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band) randomly jam with some awesome musician's, I turned to Chris and said, "You know what would be really awesome?" "No," he says shaking his head, "I already thought of that and it would be too expensive."
So, I wrote to them to ask about pricing... I haven't heard back yet except on twitter when they said that it could be possible. The band is pretty large and they are not based in New Jersey, so I'm not thinking we could afford it ourselves, even though it would kick ass to next Friday and back. Our wedding song (which we are going to be learning a dance for) will be one of their songs (albeit cut shorter) is Those Grimy Little Stars is a tango... big band style.
The big thing about this band saying they would think about it...is that while I was tweeting them... yes... I wrote them on twitter and was all, "It would be so awesome if ENSMB could be my wedding band" and then tagged them and steampunk worlds fair...... is that Steampunk World's fair said they would like to help sponsor my wedding.....! This was even before they found out my theme. I'm so stoked to see if we can afford this with their help!
It may mean an extra 12 mouths ($1,000 or something) to feed them though along with the cost for them to appear at the wedding. ;-( sad face....
Well, it's off to research what DJs are still available.

Ceremony
Monique sent me a whole bunch of sample ceremonies to choose from for our wedding ceremony. I started tearing up instantly and realized I am going to be a crier at the wedding. I must remember to wear waterproof mascara!
She said I can mix and match from the sample that she sent over to me by email. I decided on one that I love; now I need to show Chris! There is a wine ceremony in one of the samples that I am going to add to our ceremony. It’s awesome.
Wine Ceremony
Throughout the ages wine has been used for celebration. In ancient times when the bride and groom pledged themselves to one another, they drank from a single cup signifying that they were becoming one family, one kin. It also served as an invitation to God to be present as the main witness of their sacred oath. So, Groom and Bride, share this cup of wine and drink in the essence of your love for one another as you prepare to accept all that the future may bring. May whatever bitterness it contains be less bitter because you share it together. May all the sweetness that it holds for you be the sweeter because you taste it together.
Now I need to find some awesome wine glasses or goblets!!!!
