Nail polish!
These are some ideas for nail art on wedding day!
I just bought some awesome colors at Walmart today. I got some Tardis blue, an awesome gold , some silvery sparkly polish and a awesome coppery-firey metalic polish. I'm going to experiment and possibily go and get my nails done by a professional to try and replicate the effect.

Wedding dresses I've liked
Ok, so out of the two new dresses I just tried on at Castle Couture.... I really want to pick one already.
I tried on a Justin Alexander and a Casablanca that were really awesome.
Jody, the lady that helped me, said it would be a good idea to come back within three or four weeks. But, If I wait till November 30th there is a Justin Alexander trunk sale there and I could save lots of money (well most likely at least 10 percent).
Or, Casablanca is having a sale in December......

Change of date
Chris just made the deposit for the venue. November 2nd was already booked so we now have November 9th, 2013.

i need to go to shows!
Ok, so I'm going to go to a Bridal Show at Shadowbrook on the Oct 18th if I don't have work. It's a 7pm.
there is also another free show at the Channel club in Monmouth Beach at 6:45 that I registered for and I will be attending if I don't have BN that night.
Arleigh may come with me if Mike is home to watch the kiddies....

Bridal Shows!
Ok I have extra vacation days I need to take, soooo I decided to see what Bridal shows are happening on those dates.
I just registered for free event on Tuesday, October 16th at the Channel Club in Monmouth Beach.
Its free for brides and their guests. There will be samples and such!

Ok so Chris loves that I love the shore club and we are goin to pick that place as our venue and ceremony location. We are going to go over it tonight when we are both home.

A closer look at doolans shore club
It's not as pretty as Brielle river house from the outside. It looks all square and rectangle and just boxy on the outside.
Now I just need to go inside and talk with the lady in charge...
Trying to decide if I should go in now or be late and wait for Haley. And she just drove past... How's that for timing? She got here exactly on time! :-)

First location visit
Just finished our appointment at the Brielle River House. Gorgeous!
I snuck some shots when or guide wasn't looking. Wish I got some of the rooms for you girls but they are available on a google image search .
I love it there. We would have a cocktail room... A bridal suite and a dining area. Both cocktail an dining have bars and the windows are open and beautiful to the river. There is access to the decks in both areas. Cocktail is on the lower deck. The view is just awesome.

Chris's mom is a member of the Metedeconk River Yacht Club. This is a venue that wouldn't cost much, but we would have to do the decorating, catering and bar (well, they have a bartender availble, but the price isn't included) ourselves as it is not included....

Wedding song
It's gonna be some type of steam punk feeling song that we shall waltz around the dance floor with smiles on our faces.
So the song will sound something like this band : Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band
I told Chris that I don't want to be the couple that just sways on the dance floor and kisses and certain points in the song as people stare and take pictures. I want to be able to really dance and give people something to watch thats more than just a voyeuristic love fest on the dance floor.
Chris knows a guy from the 101st that holds Ballroom dances lessons. So exciting! We are gonna set up dance lessons and do an awesome waltz/tango something or other awesomness!

some decisions
The colors will be black and silver.
Chris is sad that I'm not forcing my bridesmaids to dress up as Daleks, so the groomsmen will prolly not dress as Doctors either. But.... the groomsmen will all be wearing chucks, which is a great little tribute to my favorite Doctor, David Tennant. They ( the shoes) will either be white, or black or silver converse.
Chris wanted his groomsment to wear three piece blue suits, as in one of the pictures below (with Martha as the companion...... the one wear he has red chucks on), but then thought that would be kinda not good since they most likely wouldn't find an occasion to wear a blue three piece suit again.
He's not very fond of the brown and gold concept, so we are going with the Black and Silver (he's all like, do you have to even ask?)
I'm trying to think up a concept for the girl's to be unified with, but not coming up with much yet. Although, I do still want the dresses to short and flirty. I would like them to be similar as possible without making everyone do the same exact style. I know certain styles do not look good on some people while they would look fab on someone else, but I think everyone can unify with a fun short-ish flirty looking dress.
Something that is cocktail length or garden party length. I'll try and post more pictures of some good dresses. (yeah, i've been playing with dress finders too much.)
Dresses that most likely will not look good would be something babydollish or nighty looking. It's a wedding not a bachelorette party or pajama party with hotties, I'm not saying I want you all to dress in mini skirts, just something around knee length would be nice. I'm the one with a long dress, no one else is allowed to have full length but me! :-)
