The schedule of events even listed a private wedding which got me thinking of wouldn't-it-be-neat-ifs galore. Not that I would like a wedding at the fair....no, I've got an awesome venue at Doolan's that I can't wait to decorate...decorate with what..I'm not sure. I'm thinking maybe some old clocks (and I don't mean junkie, I mean pretty old stuff....nicely restored clocks or replicas) and some alternating in height candles, maybe some flower petals. I'm not one for flowers ( they make my allergies unhappy), so I'm trying to avoid that situation.
Ok, so while we were standing there happily watching ENSMB (Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band) randomly jam with some awesome musician's, I turned to Chris and said, "You know what would be really awesome?" "No," he says shaking his head, "I already thought of that and it would be too expensive."

So, I wrote to them to ask about pricing... I haven't heard back yet except on twitter when they said that it could be possible. The band is pretty large and they are not based in New Jersey, so I'm not thinking we could afford it ourselves, even though it would kick ass to next Friday and back. Our wedding song (which we are going to be learning a dance for) will be one of their songs (albeit cut shorter) is Those Grimy Little Stars is a tango... big band style.
The big thing about this band saying they would think about it...is that while I was tweeting them... yes... I wrote them on twitter and was all, "It would be so awesome if ENSMB could be my wedding band" and then tagged them and steampunk worlds fair...... is that Steampunk World's fair said they would like to help sponsor my wedding.....! This was even before they found out my theme. I'm so stoked to see if we can afford this with their help!
It may mean an extra 12 mouths ($1,000 or something) to feed them though along with the cost for them to appear at the wedding. ;-( sad face....
Well, it's off to research what DJs are still available.
